Gladys Turner Robertson, 95, of Rocky Mount VA passed away July 9, 2008.
She was a lifetime resident of Franklin County, VA, retired from the Franklin County School System after 34 years of teaching and was a longtime member of the Rocky Mount Baptist Church.
Mrs. Robertson was born February 27, 1913, a daughter of the late Nathaniel (Nat) and Lula Belle Scott Turner. She is also preceded in death by her husband Joseph Morton Robertson; and a grandson, Joseph C. Robertson, Jr.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph C. Robertson, Sr. and Miriam I. Robertson; grandsons Justin C. Robertson and John C. Robertson; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted from Franklin Memorial Park 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2008 with Drs. William Shively and Jack Corvin officiating.
Memorials may be sent to the Rocky Mount Baptist Church, 85 West Church Street, Rocky Mount VA 24151.
The family will be receiving friends and loved ones from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2008 at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
