Glenn Danny Blankenship

Glenn Danny Blankenship "Blankey”, age 75 of Rocky Mount passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at Sheila S. Strauss Hospice House. He was born November 22, 1950 and was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Ester Blankenship; wife, Lois Blankenship; and two brothers, Perry and Rickey Blankenship.

Surviving are his daughters, Jennifer (Charlie) Williams of Moneta, Christy (Winkey, deceased) Ramey of Boones Mill; brothers and sisters, Ronald, Pete, Jerry, Cheryl (Danny Hodges), Lorenda; grandbabies, Brittany (Demi), CJ, Dustin (Kristen), Justin (Tonilynn), Cody (Justtina) and Destiny (Ashley); great-grandbabies, Maddison, Colton, Rayelynn, Chandler, Hunter, Alaina, Makenna, and Abigail; sister-in-law, Charotte (Larry) Kennett; several nieces and nephews. A big thanks to his caregivers, Sandy, Tina, Jessica, Justtina and Cody. Also special thanks to hospices nurses, Susie and Sandy.

Glenn was a devoted and loving husband, father, papa and great papa to all of us. He was a Dallas Cowboys Fan and devoted, hard worker for M&W Windows.

Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2026 with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
