Gloria F. Campbell

Gloria F. Campbell, age 74 of Axton died Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Viola Ferguson; and brother, Donald. Surviving are her husband, Henry L. Bates of the home, 10960 Chatham Road, Axton, Va.; children, Tom and Kimbal of Danville, Todd of Rocky Mount; daughter, Teree Campbell of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Benjamin, Ariel and Alexa; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Twyla Ferguson of Penhook, Joe Ferguson of Rocky Mount; sisters and brothers-in-law, Claudine and Creed Law of Martinsville; Janet and Douglas Perdue of Rocky Mount; many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, 3464 Mount Carmel Road, Rocky Mount with Rev. Brent Evans officiating. Her family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
