Guy Judson Holley, age 88 of Rocky Mount, died Sunday, August 5, 2007.
He was a member, deacon and clerk at Republican Primitive Baptist Church, a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and founded Holley’s Used Auto Parts in 1954, which is currently operated by his son Ronald and his three sons.
Mr. Holley was born on November 26, 1918 a son of the late Tom Pete and Wilda Emberson Holley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Holley; daughter, Rose Mary Mason; twin granddaughters, Samantha and Sabrina Trail; great-grandson, Jonathan Holley, brothers, Harry Holley, Gray Holley; sisters, Nannie Mae Hollandsworth, Belva Turner; sons-in-law, Jackie Underwood and Sam Trail.
Mr. Holley is survived by his wife, Dorothy C. Holley; children, Ronald and Phyllis Holley, Deborah Trail, Linda Underwood; step-children, Darrell and Mary Ann Craighead, Linda Watson; grandchildren, Greg and Melinda Holley, Brad and Tracy Holley, Daryl and Stephanie Holley, Doug and Becky Mason, Deanna Mason, Jeremy Trail, Nichole and Lee Mason; step-grandchildren, Adam Craighead, Dusty Harmon, Dana Harmon; great-grandchildren, Grace, Matthew, Kolton, Tyler, Jesse, and Gabriel Holley, Mackenzie, Abby, and Aiden Mason; brother, Grady Holley.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday with Elder Junior Conner and Elder W.T. Conner officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday with his family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
