Guy Taylor Lynch

Guy Taylor Lynch, age 90 of Rocky Mount died Thursday morning, September 29, 2016 at his residence. He was a son of the late Posey and Alice Lynch, and was preceded in death by his wives, Virginia Dare and Peggy three grandchildren, one brother, Cecil Lynch, one sister, Lorene Thurman. Surviving are his children, Vickie Lynch and Galen R. Bowman of Rocky Mount, Mike and Junell Lynch of Covington, Ohio, Danny and Shirley Lynch of St. Ignatius, Montana, Randy Lynch and friend, Tami Disinger of Rossville, Indiana, fourteen grandchildren, Shannon and Heather Bowman, Gentry and Jay Reed, Britney Bowman, Megan and Bronson Koffer, Josie and Lee Angle, Tyler Lynch, Bethany and Laban Bower, Benjamin, Sarah Kate, Jacob and Joanna, Blake, Stephanie and Brock Lynch; 21 great-grandchildren; two step-sons, Burrell and Seaward McGhee, one brother and sister-in-law P.L. and Nancy Lynch of Rocky Mount, two sisters Eleanor Woody of Rocky Mount and Ann McBride of Roanoke, brother-in-law Clarence and Nora Boone, of Rocky Mount, sisters-in-law, Doris Ann and Lester Shively of Rocky Mount, Doley Lesher of Pennsylvania. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Chapel with Elder Mark Terry officiating. Interment will follow in Lynch Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4:30 p.m. and 6-8:30 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
