H. Ronald Shelton

H. Ronald Shelton, age 80 of Glade Hill went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the morning of Sunday, February 14, 2021. Born August 7, 1940 to Harry Shelton & Lottie Maddox Shelton, who have both preceded him in death. Ronnie lived his entire life in Franklin county and married his one true love, Mildred Holland Shelton in 1958, who survives him, along with his son Eddie Shelton, daughter in law Debbie Shelton and granddaughter Jesse Lynn Shelton. He also leaves behind his two brothers, William Lee Shelton and Don Wilson Shelton. His two best friends left this world before him, Butch Lynch and Dennis Ownby, and he leaves one very special friend here, Dr. Ronald Davis. The owner of Diamond S Farms, he was very proud of the cattle, horses and crops produced over the years, starting the existing cow herd in 1965 and always striving to make it better. He was very involved in agriculture in his community and served on the Franklin County Farm Bureau Board of Directors for many years. He was one of the founders of the Glade Hill Volunteer Fire Department, and was inspired by the dedication and leadership exhibited by them. Ronnie was also very active in his church, Glade Hill Baptist, serving as Deacon. He loved God, his family and the land. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 16th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Glade Hill Baptist Church.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 17th at 11:00 am at Glade Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Glade Hill Volunteer Fire Department ( P.O.
