Harless Henry Angell, 89 of Boones Mill died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Pheasant Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 21, 1924 to the late Frank H. and Vernie DeLancey Angell. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Ruby Angell and Vivian Gibson.
  
  
  He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Mabel Flora Angell. Also surviving are a brother Washington (Lee) Angell, Hockley Texas; sister Jacqueline Angell Hamlin, Pearisburg; sons, Daniel L. Angell and wife Dianne of Danville, Garland H. Angell, Bobby L. Angell and wife Jean, Wesley C. Angell and wife Tammy, and daughter Nancy Angell Flora and husband Larry D. Flora all of Boones Mill; grandchildren, Georginea Johnson, Julia Angell, Carolyn Davis, David Angell, Matthew Flora, Katelyn Angell and Kelsey M. Angell; great grandchildren, Rachel Davis, Courtney Johnson and Conner Johnson; step-grandchildren, Raymond Simpkins, Courtney Simpkins; step great-grandchildren, Dylan Simpkins, Jeremy Simpkins and Cameron Agee.
  
  
  During WWII he served his country in the South Pacific as part of the U.S. Navy Task Force 58. He retired from Cooper Wood Products after 30 years of service, was an accomplished carpenter, enjoyed drawing pencil sketches and tending to his garden. As a member of Bethlehem Church of the Brethren, he taught Sunday School, served as Deacon, was a devoted reader of his Bible and loved the Lord.
  
  
  Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Bethlehem Church of the Brethren with Rev. Bill Hinton officiating. His family will receive friends from 5:30 -7:00 p.m. prior to the service and other times at the residence. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the church cemetery.
  
  
  The family expresses gratitude to Pheasant Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center and Assisted Living for his recent care.
