Harold Alton Brown Sgt. USAF (Ret.), age 89 of Glade Hill passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Irving Brown; brothers, Jewel B. Brown, Sr. (Buddy), Dale Brown and Jimmy Brown; daughter-in-law, Kathleen (Kathy) Brown; brother-in-law, Doug Draper; sister-in-law, Madeline Brown; and special nephew, JB Brown, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Lois J. Franklin Brown; sons, Shannon Brown (Peedie), Kevin Brown (Gina) and Erick Brown; grandsons, Brien Brown (Zinthia) and Arin Brown (Aubrey); great-granddaughter, Aurelia Brown; special nieces, Allison Shively, Darnell Brown, Valarie Lynch and PJ Brown; other nieces and nephews; step-son, Ricky Franklin (Tina); step-grandchildren, John and Jeremie Radford (Haley), Brittany and Brandon Franklin; brothers, Crispen Brown (Pat), Kenneth Brown; sisters, Jean Draper and Shirley Brown; sister-in-law, Ellen Jessee (Joe); and brother-in-law, Bud Jones (Nicky). In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2019 with Dr. Wayburn Mosley and Rev. David Long officiating. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
