Harold L. Woods

Harold L. Woods, age 79 of Ferrum, Virginia passed away Monday, August 26, 2013. He was born June 27, 1934 a son of the late Jesse and Lura Woods. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lora Woods and second wife, Virginia Woods; sisters, Dorothy Blankenship, Lottie Cooper; and brothers, Buren, Wilsie, Roy and Ernest Woods. Surviving are two sons, Tim Woods (Kitty), Todd Woods (Lisa); grandchildren, Chad, Travis, Shannon, and Stacey Woods; step-daughter, Barbara Parker (Gene); and her children, Pana Caviness and Blake Lynch; many other family members and friends. Also surviving are one loving brother, Jackie Woods (Nancy); and two dear sisters, Phyllis Holley (Ronald) and Janet Stanaland (Paul); and his good friend, Curtis Waid. Harold was a gifted wood craftsman, making beautiful clocks and country porch swings. His family will receive friends at Flora Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 27, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and other times at the home of Todd and Lisa Woods, 455 Twin Creeks Drive, Ferrum, Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 with Pastor Jeff Wray officiating. Burial will be in High Street Cemetery in Rocky Mount following the service.
