Harriet Elizabeth Arnold

Harriet Elizabeth Taylor Arnold, age 92 of Ferrum, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Doe Run Christian Church and also attended Pleasant Hill and Maple Grove United Methodist Churches. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Lewis C. Arnold; sisters, Evelyn Taylor and Lucille Marshall; and granddaughter, Shawna Renee Arnold. Surviving are her brother, Malcolm "Buddy" Taylor; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and John Dailey; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Karen Arnold; and daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Chip Phillips; grandchildren, Michael Smith, Amy Huhta (Hans), Christopher Arnold, Wendy Cross (Dustin), Jennifer Phillips, and Sydney Butterworth (Jason); six great-grandchildren; nephew, Bill Jobe; and nieces, Deborah Perry and Renee West; special friends, Ann Hodges and Francis Hodges; and two special care givers, Gail Rogers and Doris Davis. Funeral services will be at Flora Funeral Chapel, 5:30 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013 with Reverend Liz Lazenby and Reverend Mike Stump officiating. Interment will be on Friday, October 18 2 p.m. in Saltville, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 3:30-5:00 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Doe Run Christian Church or Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
