Harriet Linger Wilt, 96, of Hardy, Virginia, and formerly of Arlington, died Friday, December 7, 2012 in Moneta Virginia. She was born in Washington, D.C., July 23, 1916, the daughter of the late Charles Linger and Grace Mason Linger, and wife of the late Ernest D. Wilt.
She is survived by two sons, David Wilt and wife, Catherine, of Roanoke, Virginia, and Frederick Wilt and wife Nancy Campbell of Moneta, Virginia, and two grandchildren Caitlin and Miller.
Harriet spent most of her life in Arlington, where she served on the Salvation Army and Arlington Hospital Boards of Directors, and was long-time member of Little Falls Presbyterian Church, where she served in several volunteer capacities.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Virginia Hospital Center Foundation, 1701 N. George Mason Drive, Arlington, VA 22205, in Harriet’s name.
A memorial service will held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Little Falls Presbyterian Church, 6025 Little Falls Road, Arlington Virginia 22207. A reception will follow at the church.
