Harry Donald Hall

Harry Donald Hall, age 86 of Martinsville went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, February 9, 2024. Harry was born August 7, 1937 in Rocky Mount, Virginia.

He proudly served aboard the USS Boston in the United States Navy from 1954 — 1958. He worked for Bassett Furniture Company for 15 years and was a supervisor in the table plant. He retired from Stanley Furniture Company as superintendent of the panel plant with 27 years of service. He attended Preston Wesleyan Church for the past 25 years. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, golfing, fishing, bowling, watching the Yankees play, and spending time with his fam ily.

Harry was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Nichols and his sister, Sarah Hall.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sue Hall; son, Dean (Cherie) Hall; two daughters, Beverly (Benjie) Mullins and Amanda (Ian) Leahy; two step-sons, Robbie (Elizabeth) Helbert and Greg Helbert; sister, Judy Thomason; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024 with Rev. Marty Furrow and Rev. Henry Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park with military honors. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
