Harry J. Warnick, age 88 of Rocky Mount died Saturday, May 2, 2009.
He worked at Martin Marietta (Lockheed-Martin), Middle River, MD for 22 years. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the U.S. Marines and was a member of Clearbrook Baptist Church.
Mr. Warnick was preceded in death by his parents, Goldie and John; and brother, Sonny.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Brenda Warnick; children, Jacqueline Friend and husband Gary, Roxanne Kern and husband Jeff, Susie Bradbury, Harry K. Warnick and wife Pam; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Mike Warnick, Encie Teets, Caroline Hudson, Moriva Teets; sister-in-law, Yvonne Sweeney.
Special thanks to Pastor Red English, Carilion Hospice of Franklin County (Morgan), and Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital for their care and concern during Harry’s illness and death.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County, 390 South Main Street, Rocky Mount, Va. 24151.
Services will be private at a later date in Maryland.
