Hazel Franklin Hancock

Hazel Franklin Hancock, age 85 of Rocky Mount died Thursday, November 12, 2009. She was retired from Bassett Furniture Company and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pierce Edward Hancock, Jr.; and three sons, Euell Davis Hancock, Thomas Edward Hancock and Henry Douglas Hancock, Sr. Surviving are her two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Frank Reid, Joyce and Rex Norris; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Clyde Mattox. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. T. Ivey Adams, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Hancock Family Cemetery.
