Hazel Matthews Turner

Hazel Matthews Turner, age 97 of Rocky Mount passed away, Tuesday, February 8, 2022. She was born March 24, 1924 the last of ten children of the late Willie and Cora McBride Matthews. She was also preceded in death by her husband Grover Turner; grandson Jeff Gaubatz and great-granddaughter Everly Grace Miller. Surviving are her children, Carole Gaubatz, Garry Turner, Letitia Annette Turner and Stephen Lynn Turner; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held at Franklin Memorial Park. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
