Hazel Parcell Williams, age 85 of Rocky Mount went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 12, 2015. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Raymond L. Williams; her parents, Carson and Annie Parcell; sisters, Cora Reynolds, Margaret Fralin; brother, Junior Parcell; two infant sisters. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Patsy Shreve (Gary), Susan Thomason (Ricky); her special grandsons, Jason Roberson (Amanda), Ryan Thomason (Jessica) and Lucas Thomason; her treasured great-grandchildren, Makenzie Thomason and Campbell Roberson; two step-grandchildren and two great-step-grandchildren. She was eagerly awaiting her third great grandchild; two brothers, Bill Parcell, Johnny Parcell (Judy); one sister, Anne Parcell; brothers-in-law, Henry Fralin and Bobby Williams; and many nieces and nephews. Mama loved her family and always cared for their needs so lovingly. She loved spoiling her daughters, but especially "her" three boys and the two great-grandchildren. She loved cooking large Sunday lunches, watching her tomatoes and flowers grow and feeding the birds. She was a member and loved attending Glade Hill Baptist Church. She also retired from Centel Phone Company after many years of service. Her family will receive friends Wednesday, January 14th from 6-8 pm at Flora Funeral Home in Rocky Mount. Funeral services will be held Thursday January 15th at 11 a.m. at Flora Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Long officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
