Helen Ferguson Dillon

Helen Katherleen Ferguson Dillon, age 92 of Wirtz, Va. went peacefully home on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. She was born in Union Hall, Va. to the late Sandy J. Ferguson, Sr. and Bessie Zeigler Ferguson. She was also preceded in death by numerous brothers, sisters and grandchildren, Jeffrey Daniel Cook, Lisa Cook Daniels and Kenneth R. Cook. Surviving are her loving husband of 73 years, Ewell Daniel Dillon; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jimmy Woolwine; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Jean Dillon; special granddaughter, Drema Davis; three step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren including special great-great-grandson, Devin Jones; sister, Lena Smith; sister-in-law, Evelyn Richards; nieces and nephews; best friend, Maxine Sink. The family sends out much appreciation to Amedisys Hospice especially Stephanie, Glenda and Sarah for their care. Memorial services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Friday with Pastor Tim Emmons officiating. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
