Henry Landon Holland

Henry Landon Holland, age 97 of Rocky Mount peacefully went to be with the Lord and his wife on Thursday, October 26, 2023 with his children by his side. Mr. Holland was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Nova Maxey Holland; parents, Henry Albert Holland and Lucy David Holland; and brothers, Emmett Holland and Marvin Holland. Landon was a kind hearted and loving father, grandfather, great and great-great grandfather who always put God and family first. He was a dedicated member of Penhook United Methodist Church for many years and served and gave to the Penhook community. He was a proud retiree of DuPont after 37 faithful years of service and found great success enjoying a life of farming. Henry had a passion for amateur radio and made many friends using his N4IFN call name. Surviving to live in the wonderful legacy he leaves are his son, Benny Holland (Donna); daughter, Patti Hall; grandchildren, Brandon Holland, Melissa Kinlaw (Clark), Karli Mayo; great-grandchildren, Seth Ledbetter (Martha), Taylor Whetsel (Justin), Bryson Lempeckski, Addison Mayo; great-great-grandson, Colson Whetsel; nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Linda Murphy for her attentive care and dedication. Also to caregiver, Phyllis for her help as well as Amanda and the staff of Carilion Hospice for their care. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Monday with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
