Herbert Lee Bailey

Herbert Lee Bailey, age 82 of Boones Mill, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at his residence. He was a beloved father and grandfather who drove his last truck to meet the love of his life for 62 years, Eleanor Bailey, who preceded him to meet the Lord on September 8, 2016. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Hollis Wayne Bailey and a sister, Doris B. Cundiff. Surviving are his children, Leanora B. Turman (Ricky), Anthony L. Bailey (Teresa), Herbert B. Bailey (Vonne), six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one brother, Howard Ray Bailey, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church, 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 with Pastor Joe Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
