Herman Thomas Kessler

Herman Thomas Kessler, age 87 of Ferrum went to meet his Savior on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Vergie Y. Kessler; brother, Willard Kessler; daughter, Joan Kessler Preston; and two sisters, Bernice Solomon and Mildred Young. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Nannie Lou Pendleton Kessler; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clyde and Kendall Kessler, Douglas and Dawn Kessler; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen K. and Robert "Bob" Mills; one son-in-law, Frank Preston (Joan?s husband); nine grandchildren, Alan Kessler, Thomas and Gabriel Mills, Ethan Preston, Andrew, Christine, Joshua, Benjamin and Victoria Kessler; sister, Elvie K. Wright; many nieces and nephews. Herman requested that there be no service or visitation. Memorial donations may be made to the Ferrum Rescue Squad or Fire Department.
