Herman Monroe Taylor

Herman Monroe “Sam” Taylor, age 76 of Rocky Mount died Friday, August 26, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Ruth Williams Taylor. Surviving are his children, Wayne Taylor, Michael Taylor, Cathy Gray, John Taylor and Marcie Taylor; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Singleton. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday with Pastor Tom Hooks and Pastor Eugene Chitwood officiating. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
