Hilda Cline Morrison, age 82 of Moneta, Va. died Friday, October 29, 2010 at Franklin Healthcare Center. Mrs. Morrison was born in Forsyth County, North Carolina on July 18, 1928. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Fred S. Morrison; father, Grover S. Cline, Sr.; dear mother, Eva C. Cline; a brother, Grover S. Cline, Jr.; and two sisters, Juanita McGee and Norma Rogers. She worked as a secretary for the Winston-Salem Southbound Railway and the Norfolk and Portsmouth Belt Line Railroad in Norfolk, Va. retiring in 1988. She is survived by a son, Ronald G. Cundiff and daughter-in-law, Patricia A. Cundiff both of Moneta; two grandsons, David C. Cundiff of Charlottesville, Kevin “Scott” Cundiff and wife Amy M. Cundiff of Roanoke, Va.; one great-granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Cundiff also of Roanoke; one sister, Nancy Phelps of Virginia Beach, Va.; one brother, David Cline of Kannapolis, NC; numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted from Forsyth Memorial Park 12 noon Tuesday with Rev. David Lord officiating. The family would like to express its deepest appreciation to the nurses and staff of Franklin Healthcare Center who cared for her the past three and a half years.
