Hillard Chester Shively, Sr.

Hillard Chester Shively, Sr. age 87 passed away Saturday December 14, 2013. Born March 9, 1926 he enjoyed coon hunting, farming, ex-boot legging and loved working with heavy equipment. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Shively and Ethel Boyd Shively; his children Roger Lee Shively, Patricia Ann Sink, brother and sisters; Euri, Frankie, Chloe; grandchild, Billie Jo Bandy. Surviving are his three children HC Shively, Jr. (Tammy), Lois Marie Hopper (Darryl), Danny Wayne Shively (Beth); son-in-law Ricky Sink; five grandchildren Michael Bandy Jr., Roger Allen Bandy, Kim Cooper (Doug), Jamie Pugh (Zach), Ethan Ryan Shively; five great-grandchildren Cassidy Bandy, Anna Marie Cooper, Emma Nicole Cooper, Greenleigh Ann Pugh, Bristol Marie Pugh; ex-wife Elizabeth Shively; sisters Pauline and Claudine. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Chapel with Pastor Denver Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 til 8:00 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
