Hubert C. Dowell

Hubert Carl Dowell, age 72 of Callaway passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Hubert worked 27 years at Erath Veneer and 16 years at Chrysler Automotive. He was preceded in death by one son, Matthew Dean Wyatt. Surviving are his loving and wonderful wife of 35 years, Carolyn Dowell; children, Melinda and Tony Hall, David Ray Wyatt and special friend Carolyn, Kimberly R. and Timmy Moore, Deborah Wyatt and fiancé, Ricky Dudley, April and Sammy Scott; daughter-in-law, Amy Wyatt; sister-in-law, Deborah Preston; brothers-in-law, Terry Hurline and Philip Hurline; 13 grandchildren, Ashley, Sarah, Jamie, Kasey, Danielle, Trey, Tony, Hannah, Shawn, Hollie, Shannon, Dylan and Kristen; seven great-grandchildren, Hayden, Delinda, Jace, Lex, Zane, Brayleigh and Phoenix. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 6:00 til 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
