Hugh Howard Housman

Hugh Howard “Pops” Housman, age 90 of Rocky Mount died Sunday, August 17, 2025. He was born April 18, 1935 and was preceded in death by his son, Edward Lee Housman; and grandson, Dean Nathaniel Fitzgerald. Surviving are his daughters, Connie Rowland, Ann Fitzgerald (Jimmy) and Carolyn Smith; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2025 with Dr. Billy Shively officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount and other times at the home of Ann and Jimmy Fitzgerald (65 Ruritan Road, Rocky Mount, VA 24151).
