Irene Mattie Beckner

Irene M. Beckner, 59 of Wirtz, peacefully departed this life on Friday, January 8, 2016 at home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Elizabeth Jamison; and one brother Cephas Jamison. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Byron Beckner; three children, Curtis and Marcie Beckner of Quinter, KS, Daryl Beckner of Wirtz, Sandra and Jordan Rogers of Eaton, OH, three grandchildren, Zayne, Zolton, and Zion Beckner of Quinter, KS, two brothers, Walter and Mary Sue Jamison of Troutville, and Joseph and Becky Jamison of Troutville, two sisters, Ruth and Alan Deaton of West Alexandria, OH, and Martha Jamison of Troutville, two sisters-in-law, Marie and Benji Sprinkle of Fincastle, Cheryl and Ronnie Bower of Wirtz, one brother-in-law, Harmon and Wanda Beckner of Wirtz. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, January 11, 2016 at Oak Hill Old German Baptist Brethren Church with The Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-4, 5-8p.m, Sunday at the Church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
