Irene Gladys Dudley

Irene "Gladys" Dudley (Altice), age 73 of Rocky Mount passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Irene was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ardest and Angie Dudley; sisters, Virginia Haley and Margaret Bowles; brother, Alfred Dudley; and great-grandson, Thomas Berg. Surviving are her ex-husband, Lewis Altice; children, Linda Guthrie (Smokey) and Rickey Altice (Bonnie); grandchildren, Crystal Hannabass (Will), Danny Guthrie, Brandon Altice (Kristen), and David Guthrie; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Logan, Zoe, Maddy, Jason, Jacob, Hayden; sister-in-law, Shirley Dent (Alton); special cousins, Evelyn Phennecie and Billy Wayne Dudley; special great-niece, Teresa Holley; and special friend, Judy Haley. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Henry Fork Church of the Brethren with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and following the interment at the home of Rickey and Bonnie Altice, 185 Greenhouse Road, Glade Hill, Virginia.
