Irene Elizabeth Smith

Irene Elizabeth Horn Owens Smith, age 79 of Hardy died Saturday, November 22, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wetzel and Mary Horn; first husband, William H. Owens; second husband, William Smith; two brothers; one sister; and special friend, Emmit Guthrie. Surviving are her daughter, Donna Robbins (Bill); son, Daniel Owens (Susan); four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ina Horn and Ilene Coberly; one brother, Mick Horn. She was a very religious lady who loved her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gethsemane Church in Hardy. Her family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
