Iris Marie Bennett

Iris Marie Bennett, age 69 of Ferrum, Va. passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008. Mrs. Bennett was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband J.T. Bennett. Surviving are her mother Lennie Harrison; son James Michael Bennett and fiancé Trina Maxey; daughter Joyce Homberg and husband David; brother Roger Harrison and wife Alee; two granddaughters Cynthia Homberg and Leeanna Bennett. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2008 with Chaplain Rick Poland and Pastor Gene Chitwood officiating. Interment will follow in the Young Family Cemetery. Her family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount.
