Jack Benny Clingenpeel

Jack Benny Clingenpeel, age 67 of Ferrum went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy U. Clingenpeel; son, B.J. Clingenpeel; father, Anderson Clingenpeel; brothers, Jerry Clingenpeel, Floyd Clingenpeel; and sister-in-law, Mary Clingenpeel. Surviving are his beloved wife, Janice Galyean Clingenpeel; daughters, Gloria Akers and Susie (Jim) Crump; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one he had yet to meet; mother, Bertha Clingenpeel; sister, Rita Wray; brother, Lloyd (Roxie) Clingenpeel; sister-in-law, Judy Clingenpeel; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Andy Galyean and Cathy Sutphin. Jack was employed by Leo Scott Cabinets and Underwood?s Cabinets prior to his retirement. He was also a past member of the Ferrum Volunteer Rescue Squad. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pregnancy Care Center, 314 Fairy Street Ext., Suite E, Martinsville, Va. 24112. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Buck Wardle officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
