Jairus Plunkett

Jairus (Jay) Plunkett, age 99, of Boones Mill, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and David Zimmerman; son, Jerry D. Plunkett; granddaughter, Carrie Gibson (Jonathan); great-grandson, Owen Gibson; great- granddaughter, Elin Gibson; twin brother Darius (Dee) Plunkett; sister Alvera Abshire; several nieces and nephews. Graveside memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2017 in Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Huffman officiating. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount/Smith Mountain Lake.
