James "Pedro" Andrew Ramsey, Jr.

James (Pedro) Ramsey, age 63 of Rocky Mount passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. He was born on October 15, 1956 to James and Virginia Avis Ramsey. He was preceded in death by his mother, Avis; and mother-in-law, Betty Johnson. Pedro is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy Ramsey of the home; and father, James (Jimmy) Ramsey of Henry; three children, Jayson Ramsey, Danville, Virginia, Ashleigh Ramsey and Jordan Ramsey of Rocky Mount; seven grandchildren, Austin Orr, Logan Jones, Leaveah Ramsey, Kyleigh Hutton, Korie Hutton, Gracie Cockram and Lillian Ramsey; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Johnson and Paula Pagans (Will). Pedro coached many different Franklin County Recreation teams over the years. He especially enjoyed coaching baseball and formed many friendships through this relationship. Pedro never met a stranger and would go above and beyond to help anyone he met that had a need. A celebration of life to be held at his church, Living Waters Assembly of God, at a later date.
