James "Jim" Edward Carr

James Edward “Jim” Carr, age 76 of Callaway, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2007. He was born June 3, 1931 to the late William E. and Laura Wingfield Carr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Atlas Curry; and brother William “Shorty” Carr. Jim was a former Aerial Mapping Pilot and photographer and loved to sing and play his guitar. Surviving is his loving wife of 42 years, Lois Carr, sisters, Mary Feazell & husband Elmer, Evelyn Macdonald; and brother Richard Carr & wife Yvonne. Funeral services will be conducted from the Flora Funeral Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Monday with Rev. William Pugh officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Church of the Brethren Cemetery. His family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
