James Eugene "Gene" Perdue

James Eugene “Gene” Perdue, age 86 of Rocky Mount passed away Friday, June 28, 2024. He was born May 21, 1938, son of the late Herbert and Nellie Perdue. Surviving are his wife, Patty E. Perdue; daughter, Connie Wray; two granddaughters, Stephanie and Brittany; three great-grandkids; one step-son, Ernest J. Minton; two step-grandsons, Michael Taylor Minton and Calen James Minton; and one step-granddaughter, Tammy Elizabeth Minton. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2024 with Pastor Gary Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
