James Russell Hancock

James Russell Hancock, age 89, late of Bradenton, FL formerly of New Lenox, IL passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Mary J. Hancock (nee Gelsomino); son, Hugo Miller; and one grandson, James Miller. He is survived by his children, Vince (Carol) Miller, Dianna (Jim) Kubina, Russell Hancock, Ronnie (Cheri) Hancock, Robert (Mary) Hancock; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Opal (Hancock) Arduino; numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was a Korean War Veteran and a retired member of Will County Carpenters Union. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment will follow in Antioch Church of the Brethren Cemetery. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
