James Michael Hunt, age 60 of Rocky Mount passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ola Hunt and sister Mary Hunt of Rocky Mount. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Judith Hunt and niece, Nickie Comas of Buena Vista and several cousins.
Mike was honorably discharged from the US Army. He loved learning and obtained Bachelor of Science and Masters of Arts degrees from Liberty University. He also received a Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Mike worked for Elizabeth Arden and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Roanoke. Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church, Roanoke. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount/ Smith Mountain Lake.
