James "Jimmy" Jones, Jr.

James “Jimmy” Jones, Jr., age 58 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, May 30, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother, Angeline Gardner; grandmother; Virginia Hodges; grandparents, Alfred and Stella Jones, Harlow Gardner; aunts, Flossie Flippen, Audrey Hairfield, Arlene Jones; uncles, Harlow Gardner and Bobby Jones; and sister, Donna Rigney. Surviving are his best friend, Cindy McBride, daughter, Tanya Pagans (Brandon Pagans); grandchildren, Jake, Evan, Hunter, Miranda; daughter, Melanie Jones (Cirilo Gonzales) and grandchildren, Taylor, Lilly, Brooke, Bailey; son, James Jones; father, James K Jones Sr (Joyce); sister: Christy Johnson (Mark); Cindy’s Children, Charles and Cynthia; aunts, Delphine, Pauline, Jeanette, Alice Yopp; uncle, Covar Gardner, Ben Jones, Fuzz Jones; and special cousin, David and Kenny Johnson. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Chapel with Pastor Eddie Hawks officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
