James W. Keene

James W. Keene, age 60 of Callaway left this world Saturday, March 14, 2015 for a long deserved rest after a five year battle with cancer. He was a 1973 graduate of Richlands High School and Tazewell Vocational Center where he majored in Masonry. He was the son of the late Clyde and Agnes Dales Keene, Tazewell County natives. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Donna Hope Keene, a son Richard Nathan Keene and fiancé Sherry Crews of Gretna, Va. a daughter, Wendy Heather Hollandsworth and husband Marty of Bassett, Va. five grandchildren, Makayla Faith Keene, and Emily Grace Keene both of Callaway, Va. Dustin James Keene, Shawn Pierre Crews and Brandon Scott Dalton all of Gretna, Va. one sister, Betty Hughes and husband Edward of Doran, Va. one brother, Clyde Keene, Jr. and wife Kelly of Abington, Va., special friends Howard Lowe, Jr., Sam Jones, Grace Jones and Ronnie Caldwell. Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Chapel with the family receiving friends 1 hour prior to service.
