James Wilbert Lynch

James Wilbert Lynch, age 84 of Rocky Mount passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024. He was born July 20, 1940 a son of the late Ernest and Stella Hall Lynch. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jearline Scott Lynch (2019); step-son, James Russell Law; and step-daughter, Dina Marie Law. Surviving are his son, Wilbert Junior Lynch “J.R.” (Sherry); three grandchildren, Brandi Nicole Law, James Scott Law (Rebecca), James Wyatt Lynch; great-grandchildren, McKenzie Lane, Emelie Lane, Kylie Lane, Caitlin Law, Liam Alexander Law, Ava Law; two step-grandchildren, Colton Whittaker (Emily), Trent Whittaker; step-great-grandchild, Cyrus Whittaker; sisters, Nettie Jones and Nadine Sigmon; daughter-in-law, Dawn Lynch; special friend, Lorna Jones; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2024 with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating. Interment will follow in the Lynch Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
