James Michael Parcell

James Michael Parcell, “Mike” age 71 of Haw River, North Carolina and formerly of Sontag passed away Sunday, July 6th suddenly from a car accident. He was born January 13, 1954 to the late James (Jimmy) Parcell and Juanita Conner Riddle. He was preceded in death by his loving sister Diane Parcell Reynolds, brother H. Wayne Parcell, brother-in-law, Larry (Chub) Reynolds and nephew Brian Reynolds. Mike never met a stranger and always found a way to make you laugh. He lived life to the fullest one minute at a time. He grew up working in the tobacco field and continued to do so throughout many years of his adult life. Mike was currently working at Best Rent-All in Durham, North Carolina.

Mike loved and cherished his family and chosen family. He is survived by his niece, Angela Reynolds Davis and Chad, his great-niece, Aleah Davis and great-nephew Kyle Davis as well as several aunts and extended family. He is also survived by his special friend Theresa Foley, and Matt, Tiffany, Jayden and Colton Foley who he currently lived with and thought the world of as well as Dale Hubbard, Rodney Hubbard and Cody Foley.

A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Mike’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your charity of choice in his memory. Helping and giving to others made him happy.
