James Albert Moore, age 80 of Ferrum, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021. Born January 30, 1941, he was preceded in death by his father, John Artis and mother, Lomie Trail Moore, brother, Willie Moore and sister, Lora Q. Ferguson. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 61 years, Louise Quinn Moore and daughter, Robin (Rodney) Wood, all of Ferrum, granddaughters, Tabitha (Nick) Ellis of Hardy, Jamie (Kellen) Smith of Callaway, and Sarah (Shane) Haden of Woolwine; five special great-grandchildren, Colton Wood, Caine Haden, Bradley and Madelyn Smith, and Raylynn Ellis. Also left is his in-laws, Edward Ferguson, Macie Boitnott, Mandell and Carolyn Quinn, Mitch and Paula Quinn, and Daniel and Joyce Quinn; special nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends. The family would like to thank their tight knit community for their out pouring of love and support, Pastor Calhoun and their special caregiver and friend, Elaine Smallwood. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 with Pastor Jimmy Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
