James Buford Mullins

James Buford Mullins, age 89 of Rocky Mount gained his wings Wednesday, September 5, 2018. We will miss him so much! He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Elizabeth Mullins; father, Jackson Winford Mullins; brothers, Earl, Dudley, Eugene Mullins; sisters, Gladys and Ozella; three infant siblings, Irene, Ernest, Otis; and daughter, Doris Elaine Mullins. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy Lee Mullins; four sons, Steve Mullins, Perry Mullins, Timmy Mullins, Darryl (Tammy) Mullins; daughter, Margie (Leroy) Hodges; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Sunday with Dr. Jackie Spence and Pastor Rick Smithers officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Clearview Cemetery. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
