James T. Swinney (LtCol USMC Ret), age 86 of Hardy passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2017. He is survived by his wife Nancy; sons, Matthew and his wife Molly, Timothy, Michael and Daniel and his wife Jessica; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount/Smith Mountain Lake.
