James Lee Taylor

James Lee Taylor (Jim) age 61 went to be with his Lord Monday, February 11, 2013 at his residence in Moneta, Virginia with his wife and a close friend by his side. He was born February 13, 1951 in Springfield Ohio, only son of the late James Leland and Cary Taylor. Jim lived in Columbus Ohio most of his adult life, and has lived in Georgia. Jim was a graduate of Clark State University and Ohio University with a Bachelors of Science degree in engineering. Jim retired from American Electric Power as a telecommunication engineer. Surviving to cherish Jim’s memory are his loving wife of 19 years, Cheryl Lynn Meadows Taylor (formerly of Portsmouth, Ohio); daughter, Shellyn Nicole Taylor of Savannah, Georgia; grandson, Cayden Williams; also an expected grandchild due in July. Private services will be held at a later date in Ohio. His family suggest memorial donations be made to Brain Injury Services of South West Virginia. The family wishes to especially thank EMS of Franklin County, VA staff of Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Carilion Home Health for all they did for the family.
