James Washburn Brown

James Washburn Brown age 80, of Union Hall died Sunday, May 8, 2011. He retired from Fieldcrest Cannon Mills in Fieldale and attended Mt. Olivet Primitive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Etta Brooks Brown, brother Russell Brown, sister Ruth Cundiff. Surviving are his wife Virginia Graham Brown, sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Glenn Poindexter, brother and sister-in-law Jackson and Judy Brown and four nephews. The family suggests memorials may be made to Glade Hill Rescue Squad. Special thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice and also George Pruitt for their care and concern. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Chapel with Elder Thomas Mann officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center Rocky Mount
