Jamie, affectionately known as "Stix," was a man of many hats (both literally and figuratively). From a young age, Jamie showed great promise as a natural athlete, excelling in basketball throughout his high school years. His raw talent and sportsmanship led the Franklin County Eagles to win countless games, some so memorable they are still talked about decades later. One time, a rival team was so intimidated by the skills Jamie and his teammates demonstrated during their pre-game warm-up, their would-be opponents forfeit the game, refusing to be subjected to what was sure to be a guaranteed punishment on the court. When he grew tired of "working for the man," he became an entrepreneur and successfully operated Stockton's Car Detail then Stockton's Lawn Care Services. His favorite and final business venture was Stockton's Soul Food. With his niece, Kayla Acosta, by his side as a sous chef and delivery driver, Jamie served many happy customers in Franklin County and even had people who would drive from Roanoke and as far as Greensboro, NC just to get a plate of his soul-nourishing food. Our family gatherings will never be the same without his spontaneous freestyling and his soul food always cooked with love and top-secret ingredients. We will miss our main man 50 grand who always kept it Hunned Pruf!
