Janice Marie Mitchell

Janice Marie Mitchell, age 63 of Collinsville died Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her father, Donnie Green Midkiff of Ferrum. Janice was a graduate of Franklin County High School and worked many years for Larry Roach and Associates Insurance in Fieldale. Janice enjoyed spending time with her family especially her granddaughter Madi. She also enjoyed reading in her spare time. Surviving are her son, Brandon Mitchell and wife Maegan of Wirtz; daughter, Jessica Mitchell of Rocky Mount; granddaughter, Madilynne Mitchell (Madi); mother, Margaret Madeline Jones of Ferrum; sister, Margie Ann Hodges and husband Tommy of Ferrum; nieces, Alex Hodges of Rocky Mount and Jordon Hodges of Roanoke; and her boyfriend, Alex Suarez of Collinsville. Special thanks to the staff of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for the kindness and care shown to Janice and the family during her final days. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Chapel. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
