Janine Baumgardner Mackenzie

Janine Baumgardner MacKenzie, age 79 of Rocky Mount beloved wife of Charles MacKenzie, died at home on April 3, 2013. She was born on February 14, 1934 to the late Carl and Margaret Baumgardner. She is survived by her husband, Charles; three children, Robert MacKenzie and wife Pamela MacKenzie, Linda Haldaman, Susan Hughes and husband Walter Hughes, Jr.; and six grandchildren, Andrew and Kelly MacKenzie, Melissa, Carolyn, Jessica and Johnny Hughes. She was a HOME maker and sang with her husband and children in Methodist Church choirs for over 40 years. She was the supreme example of the good wife. To quote from scriptures, Proverbs 31, “She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her and he will have no lack of gain”. The family will receive friends at Flora Funeral Home in Rocky Mount, VA on Saturday, April 6, 2013 between 3-6 p.m. A Memorial service to Celebrate Her Life will be held at Redwood United Methodist Church in Rocky Mount, VA on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with
Rev. Bradley S. Dulaney officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Redwood United Methodist Church Building Fund.
