Jason William Maxey, beloved son age 34 of Rocky Mount, died Saturday, October 11, 2008 as the result of a tragic automobile accident.
He was baptized at age 15 in 1989. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and in the Army National Guard. Jason was a law enforcement officer with the Rocky Mount Police Department where he was presented the MADD award in 2006 and many other awards. Jason loved life, his friends and enjoyed body building, where he won several awards. He was a devoted son to his parents and his chosen profession speaks of his honor and duty to his community.
Jason is survived by his parents, Clarence and Charlotte Maxey; his fiancé, Claudia Musckova; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted from Franklin County High School Auditorium 2 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2008 with Pastor Brian Vaughan and Rev. David Whitehurst officiating. Interment will follow in the family cemetery in Bedford County.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2008 with his family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at the Franklin County High School Auditorium.
