Jasper Carl Lanier

Jasper Lanier, or Carl to those who knew him, passed peacefully in his sleep surrounded by loved ones, the evening before Veterans Day, 2022 at the age of 83. He was born March 25, 1939 in Bradenton, Florida. Carl was a proud Vietnam Vet, a father, a brother, a papa, a friend, and an all-around ornery old man. He leaves behind two daughters; a son; four grandchildren; several friends; and extended family members. His funeral service will be at Flora Funeral Chapel 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2022 with his family receiving friends an hour before the service. Interment with military honors will follow in the family cemetery. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
